Equipment

  • Disposable cups (cut in half)
  • Paper straws
  • Sticky tape
  • Coloured paper
  • Scissors*
  • Hole punch

Method
 

  1. First bend your straw and tape to the bottom of your cup, you might need to trim the straw to make it fit properly.
  2. Fill the cup with water and let it freeze for a few hours.
  3. After it has frozen, run water on the outside of the cup to loosen the ice.
  4. Cut a sail from the coloured paper and use a hole punch to make two holes for the straw.

Notes

* Children should be supervised when using scissors.
