The Royal Oak pub overlooks Langstone Harbour, a wildlife sanctuary of outstanding beauty. The national conservation area hosts a myriad of birds and wildlife, with seals sometimes being spotted swimming in the harbour. It is one of the most photographed pubs in England, situated next to Langstone Mill. It also boasts a lovely pond where people can feed the ducks on their harbour walks, and at high tide small yachts and boats moor up and pop in for drinks and food.

It is the perfect place to sit dangling your feet in the cool waters of the harbour, sipping on a real ale or even a Pimm’s on a long summer’s day. There is a large sun-filled garden to dine al fresco at the back of the pub, which overlooks the fields leading on to the water cress beds. In winter, the real log fires add that cosy warmth much needed when the chilly nights draw in, which makes this a wonderful place to frequently visit all year round.
