The Walled Gardens of Stansted Park first appeared on a map in 1823 and the glasshouses were developed in Victorian times to grow grapes, year round flowers and exotic fruits for the mansion.
The Earls of Bessborough lived in the House from 1925 until 1992 and over the last twelve years the glasshouses have gradually been restored giving the original fig house a new lease of life by housing the stunning Pavilion.
In 2011 The Vine House and The Potting Shed was restored which is now cleverly linked to The Pavilion and is furnished with stunning Lloyd Loom tables and chairs, which together create a timeless elegance.
The Pavilion is open 7 days a week 9am until 5pm (excluding a few days over Christmas).
The office is open 9am until 5pm Monday to Friday (excluding Bank Holidays).
